You'll find a wealth of information on this site that can help you ask the right questions, and make the right choices. Because that's what really matters.

Buddy Check 9
Started by Andrea Roane, news anchor of channel WUSA9 in Washington DC, this program emphasizes awareness and self breast exam on the 9th of every month. Here's how it works:

* On the 9th of every month, women starting at the age 20 do a breast self-exam and then call a friend, a "Buddy", to remind her to do the same. Many "buddies" include mothers, daughters, sisters, husbands, and co-workers.

* Women over age 40 should schedule annual mammograms

* Get regular clinical exams by a doctor or nurse practitioner.
