Dr. Patricia Ganz Joins Pink-Link Advisory Board

Pink-Link is proud to announce that nationally known physician, Dr. Patricia Ganz has joined their Advisory Board. In 2006, Dr. Ganz received funding from the Lance Armstrong Foundation to establish the UCLA-LIVESTRONG Survivorship Center of Exc ellence, whose mission is to facilitate improvements in the quality of life and quality of care of cancer survivors in the Los Angeles region and wherever they may reside.

The Importance of Hydration

Dehydration occurs when a person does not take in enough fluid or loses too much fluid. Without enough water, the human body cannot function properly. In particular, people undergoing cancer treatment may be at a higher risk for dehydration due to treatment side effects, such as diarrhea and vomiting. Learning how to stay hydrated, and recognizing and treating dehydration before it becomes severe, are important steps for good health.
