Paget's Disease
I've just been diagnosed with Paget's Disease, which I'm told is quite rare...any other 'rare & unique' women out there? I'd love some info on what's in store...blessings, rebecca

Just be strong. It's okay to cry, but you have to fight. A positive outlook will really help. Also, get everyone you know to start praying for you. I think this really helped me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April when I had my biopsy. I had a lumpectomy in May. The medical oncologist sent my specimen for an oncotype test. It turned out my cancer is not aggressive, and I didn't have to do chemo. If I had to do chemo, I decided that I would finally see what my real hair color looks like, and how much gray I really have.
I have done 25 of 33 radiation treatments. I only have eight more to go, and those are considered a boost treatment. They only do the scar. So I think there is finally an end in sight.
Being a shoe fashionista, as my sister-in-law calls me, I have decided to wear a different pair of shoes every day for treatment. I am down to the last eight pairs. This is what I am using to help me cope. I am also keeping a spreadsheet with a list of the shoes, the date I wore them, and a thought for the day. Keep a journal, with your thoughts as you go through this difficult time.
I have three grown daughters and five beautiful granddaughters and I feel that I have doomed them, since I have breast cancer and my sister is a breast cancer survivor also. How's that for having the cards stacked against you?
