Hi Lisa,      Thank you, that is exactly what I am doing.  I started yoga about 6 weeks ago and I was going like it was my job, then I hurt my back.  It is better now so I am taking it a bit slower (something I am not used to doing)  It really taugh…

Hi, Lori: What helps me is doing healthy things that increase my chances of avoiding recurrence. Yoga has helped me a lot. It relaxes me, and it helps detox the body. Cooking healthy helps me feel a sense of control, too.   Lisa www.pinkkitchen.info

Humor in the face of adversity

Breast cancer treatment was a little less stressful for me when I could laugh. I found a series of books that I read through surgery and treatment that made me laugh OUT LOUD. They are author Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, the titles of which include numbers: One for the Money, Two for the Dough, Three to Get Deadly.....etc. She will, I believe, release her 16th book in the series in June 2009. I have heard of many other breast cancer patients and survivors who have read these books… Continue

Changing Focus

Worry is such a waste of energy! If it could change anything, I would recommend it. When we worry, we may miss opportunities to find or recognize solutions or different approaches to our problems. Worry creates stress, which affects our immune systems. Instead of worrying, try shifting focus, one hour (or minute) at a time until you make it work. Survivorship

To me, survivorship begins the day you receive your diagnosis. We work through the shock and anger and then we fight. We can learn, network and empower each other to travel the journey in good company. We meet new friends and support each other. Everything seems to happen for a reason. Find your reason.
