Hi! My name is Lesa and I was diagnosed with breast cancer on June 22,
2007. I have undergone 2 biopsies, 1 mastectomy, several chemos, radiation and
am still doing Herceptin and have started the usual 5 year stint on Tamoxifen.
Breast reconstruction is on the calendar for 2009. If you want to read about my
battle with breast cancer:

From
the day I was diagnosed right through all the surgeries and chemo and treatments
I felt like I was thrown into dark choppy seas swimming for my life. It was a
fear-filled, exhausting battle but I can see the calm shores and see some
sunshine now. Finally.
I thought I was lost but instead I was growing into a different me. (I
still am.) I consider myself a survivor. A warrior. I have
earned that title. And any woman who is diagnosed with breast cancer deserves
that same title. Survivor/Warrior.
Throughout the darkest time of my life I looked forward to going to my
mailbox to see if I had any little envelopes of love waiting for me. Each card I
received, that was lovingly handmade just for me, kept me afloat. Made me smile.
For however brief, the moments I felt buoyed, encouraged and loved were
priceless. They were my little life preservers. So came the name of my
site.
Each card sent from LittleLifePreservers.com is lovingly handmade and
sent with great HOPE and LOVE to it’s recipient. It is a small gesture but done
with BIG love. I hope this service can bring some light into other women’s
darkness.
Fight on! Shine on! & please help spread the word about my free card
service!
P.S.
Some may wonder why I only send cards to women with breast cancer
and not men or people with other cancers? This site is very personal for me and
I can only relate to what I have endured as a woman with breast cancer. I want
to keep this personal. From my heart and from someone who “has walked the walk
and talked the talk."
