Pink-Link receives Google Grant
January 31, 2008
by Vicki Tashman
Pink-Link is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as
a recipient of a Google Grants award. Tied into the Google AdWords program, the
Google grants award will provide Pink-Link with 3 months of free AdWords
advertising, up to $10,000 per month. "I am so proud of this award,"
said Vicki Tashman, founder of Pink-Link. "The service we provide to our
members is online, so our marketing plan is heavy with online advertising. This
grant fits perfectly into our plan for 2008."
Pink-Link is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which provides
support to women affected by breast cancer. At www.pink-link.org, a member can
search the survivor database and connect with other breast cancer survivors
with a similar type of diagnosis. Members can also post questions to the
Pink-Link experts in nutrition, physical exercise, holistic health and skin
care as well as post questions to other members. Another service that is
provided is a personal journal. A member can set up their journal as private,
public to members and password protected to keep family and friends informed of
treatment updates.
The Google Grants program is designed to help organizations
extend their public service messages to a global audience, in an effort to make
a greater impact on the world. "We have over 1600 members across the
country and around the world and with this grant, we'll have the ability to
reach out even more!" concludes Ms. Tashman. "Thank you Google for
helping spread the Pink-Link word."
