If you were like me after
Breast Cancer, I was physically and emotionally drained. I felt like I had lost my youth. I had lost all my hair and gained 25
pounds. I was determined to get my
health back and lose the weight I had gained. Here are 5 tips that not only
helped get me back on my feet but also helped me change my life.
Tip #1
I know you have probably
heard it before but drink plenty of water everyday. This not only helps with weight loss but it
is also good for your hair and skin.
Tip #2
Listen to your mother and eat
all your fruits and vegetables. I heard
this often as a child and it finally sunk in as an adult. Eat at
least 5 fruits and vegetables a day. They are low in calories and
will help fill
you up during the day. They also give
you energy, which is helpful if you are suffering from fatigue after
Breast
Cancer.
Tip #3
Exercise, exercise,
exercise! The more you exercise the
better you will feel about yourself.
Exercise is not only good for us physically but is good for us
emotionally. Statistics show that
exercising at least three times a week combined with a low-fat diet will help
prolong your life after Breast Cancer.
Tip #4
Practice positive
thinking. Make it a habit! Not only practice it but surround yourself
with others that are positive, as well. Breast
Cancer can take a huge toll on your self-esteem. Remind yourself that you are a survivor and
you are beautiful the way your are! ! !
Remember, forever young is a state of mind.
Tip #5
Spend time doing things you
enjoy. If you are not happy with your
work now is the time to make a change.
If you have been waiting to go on a vacation now is the time to go.
These tips were designed to
help you look and feel younger after Breast Cancer. If you still feel like you can’t get back on
your feet then you could be suffering from depression or anxiety. It is important you consult with your Doctor
or a Counselor and get the help you need.
